The Stella girl is typically fresh-faced and low-key, so last season, when Stella McCartney let Pat McGrath coat the models' lashes with loads of electric blue mascara, she took a beauty risk that became the biggest surprise—and highlight—of the fall collections. I was curious to see if McCartney would continue her experimentation with color or return to the "no-makeup makeup" look that many designers requested for their spring shows. I was not disappointed. This time, the models walked out with bold colored liner underneath their eyes—a look that has a serious element of cool to it, and will now serve as my beauty inspiration for the next few months (just like those lashes that had me hoarding blue mascaras from the office all summer).
